I am an employed professional, with a graduate degree. I have a son (age 8) who spends most of the year with his mom in another State and a cat (age 14) who lives with me year-round. I like to laugh a lot, hug a lot, and whisper lots of sweet nothings.

I like to hike, camp, and do other outdoors things. I live to dance! My favorites are international folk and contra dancing. I also appreciate museums, zoos, concerts and theater. I play a couple of instruments. My favorite is the Appalachian dulcimer.

I am looking an active, intelligent, and creative woman who will be my best friend and lover, someone I can discuss issues and literature with, someone I can write love letters to and go dancing with; who will appreciate it when I write her a poem, or serenade her, or make her a pair of earrings, or bring her flowers for no particular reason.
